We learn through the word of GOD how Ahab was resentful and depressed after a prophet told him that his life would be required of him for being disobedient in allowing an evil man to escape. Following this episode, he spoke to Naboth, saying, “Give me your vineyard that I may have it for a vegetable garden because it is near, next to my house; and for it, I will give you a vineyard better than it. Or, if it seems good to you, I will give you its worth in money.” There are many lessons we can glean from this passage of scripture. However, our purpose here is to highlight how Ahab was attempting to take what did not rightfully belong to him, by offering Naboth a bribe. Yet, Naboth responded: “The LORD forbid me that I should give the inheritance of my fathers to you.” In other words, I can’t give you the land, it belongs to my family. I find it a curious thing that Ahab reigned over an entire nation and had many fields to choose from. Yet, because he was evil and jealous, he wanted the one thing he could not have, which wasn’t his, Naboth’s field. Naboth understood the value of what was given to him and that it had been passed down from generation to generation. This land was all that Naboth had. Ahab, through his wicked wife, Jezebel, attempted to deny Naboth of his basic liberty to have his own land, work it, and keep it in his family.

This will be the focus of today’s blog.

Today we see where many want what no longer belongs to them; they gave up their inheritance. It was meant to be theirs, but like Esau, they sold their birthright for what they believe to be a utopian society where they would rule. In doing so, they disenfranchised themselves from their heritage. Now, they want to deprive us, the people, of the right to our inheritance and deny us of our basic liberties.

Our great nation is good. It provides its citizens with freedom and rights, which is why many foreigners flock here and others seek asylum. While I agree that our nation is not perfect, that we have a past and need reformation in some key areas, socialism and communism are not the answer; there is nothing utopian about them. Those behind these movements say they seek equality and good-hearted people believe that. However, there is a dark side to these movements, and the policies they implement cost the people their individual liberty. On the surface, they sound great, but in truth, they bring a different type of inequality and allow for an overreach of the government through policies, laws, the wealthy, and the powerful. Again, at the expense of the people’s rights and freedoms. They drive the economy to the ground and place heavy burdens on people. Ask Venezuelans, Cubans, and Vietnamese why they left their respective “utopian nations” if they were so great.

No, my friends, do not allow yourself to be deceived, there is nothing utopian about these movements, no matter what “they” say. If you listen closely to the rhetoric, you will hear, “they must, they have to, they must be transformed, etc.” These man-made movements come to enslave a people by stealing, killing, and destroying their right to live an abundant life. They want us to believe that we do not have the capacity to think for ourselves, arrogantly presuming themselves to be our saviors. They also believe that we need them, their movement, and their selected tyrants to tell us who deserves, who does not, how to live, what we can or cannot do according to their whims and control, indirectly proclaiming themselves to be our gods. Last I checked, the Bible tells me that Christ is the only one who died for us, our sins, and our freedom, not some despot. Why is it that we would allow tyrants to tell us what to do, how to think, and what we can or cannot have when even GOD Himself doesn’t treat us in that manner?

Yet I see another movement on the rise. It is The Naboth Movement. This movement is the one that says, “The LORD forbid me that I should give the inheritance of my fathers to you,” just as Naboth told the evil ruler. I want to encourage us to arise in the anointing of Naboth and declare to these evil movements and their rulers; “The LORD forbid that we should give this nation into the hands of marxism, socialism, communism, or the spirits of the anti-Christ!”

The Kingdom of GOD is advancing! In the process, we have seen and experienced persecution and forceful attacks. It is time for the Ecclesia, the warriors, and the intercessors to take this nation back for Christ and declare, “The LORD forbid that we should give this nation into the hands of marxism, socialism, communism, or the spirits of the anti-Christ!”

Ecclesia, I encourage you to arise with boldness in this hour, in your Kingdom authority, praying without ceasing, and interceding on behalf of this great nation that we call the United States of America. Let us not allow our rights and our freedoms to be trampled on or stolen from us. May the cry of our hearts be a shout, “Let freedom ring, rule, and reign in this nation, the United States of America, one nation under GOD!”

“The LORD forbid that we should give this nation into the hands of marxism, socialism, communism, or the spirits of the anti-Christ!”
